Quality Engineer

The team recruiting is responsible for our in store Point Of Sale (POS) software solution across 33 countries worldwide. The team focuses mainly on business development features within the POS and designs, develops, tests and releases these features into the store environment. With a focus on learning, the team works in an agile, fast paced approach to continuously be flexible to change when priorities are required.
The team is made up of a large scrum team of employees and consultants across 3 different organisations. The team if as T-shaped as possible, however many roles are specifically focused on certain areas of the product development life cycle. For this role we are looking for a software engineer with a focus on QA/UAT/E2E-testing.


Job Description


As a Software Engineer with focus on QA you are involved in the entire software life cycle – design, development, test, release and maintenance and translates business needs into working software. Regardless of area, tools or languages, a software engineer builds and configures solutions that are easy to maintain and change, enabling a constant delivery pace to be kept indefinitely. This is achieved through continuous attention to technical excellence and good design, with extensive use of automation. ​

Qualifications


Mandatory requirements, both competence and tools:
· Hands-on experience of quality assurance
· Having a quality assurance mindset and securing test cases and stories definition of done
· Experience of creating test design, writing test cases, and executing test
· Experience in coordinating and collaborating with on-site as well as off-site teams
· Experience working with Confluence and Jira
· Experience of managing test environments and test data
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to understand an Architectural landscape
Qualifying requirements:
· Experience in Agile software development practices
· Comfortable in discussing requirements, product design and improvements
· Experience with POS solutions
· Knowledge of client-side testing of touchpoints (Mobile payments, scanners etc.)
· Knowledge of testing integrations and APIs (J-son and XML)
· Knowledge of automated testing and different test automation tools
· Experience working with SQ
