Where You’ll Belong 
At Electric Propulsion we constitute the core competence center in Northern Europe regarding Li-ion technology and automotive battery systems. We are responsible for future cell strategies and to support cell suppliers and material companies to develop tailormade cells for Volvo Cars, but also to find solutions for Polestar, Lotus, Lync&co, Zeekr and Geely. 

We are growing fast within the cell and cell integration area with a high possibility of influencing way of working and future technology. By bottom-up technical decisions, we ensure that your voice will be heard.

Then you should join our Cell Integration team, together we develop and deliver high-quality cells, cell modules, swelling pads and integrate them into the vehicle. 

What You’ll Do
In this role you will get the chance to be involved from the concept phase to the vehicle release. You will lead risk assessments, quality history, DFMEA, follow-up occurred issues during development and support system and process FMEA.

You will be the first point of contact for quality-related issues and lead weekly follow-up of occurred issues during the development phase at supplier plants, internal test facilities, supplier test facilities and VCC Manufacturing sites. You will also be a part of aftermarket activities such as root cause evaluations and product development activities with our suppliers. 

Let’s Dig into the Tech! 
We are divided into five focus areas, safety, durability, performance, design and integration. Each of these competence areas is responsible for cell and module delivery into our vehicles. The battery packs are designed and assembled in-house which requires a close relationship between the different design teams to ensure the vehicle requirements are fulfilled. We also have close contact with our cell suppliers and work in close cooperation with calibration, CAE and testing. 

For the future we collaborate closely with universities, establish a research team in California and we now have a joint venture with Northvolt.

Your Competence
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with experience of proactive quality such as FMEA, quality history and risk assessment. You have experience of root cause evaluation and techniques, 8D reports and lessons learned. Previous experience of supplier contact is beneficial. If you in addition have experience in cell production or cell development. Then it is star potential.  

To thrive in the role, you need to appreciate interaction with different stakeholders. We interact a lot with different internal and external stakeholders due to that the cell and cell quality is a key component. For us it is important that you enjoy sharing information and knowledge with your colleagues.
