Quality Engineer Incoming Goods

NKT is expanding and is now looking for an experienced Quality Engineer -Incoming Goods, with a strong quality mindset to be part of our exciting journey. 
Working closely with our international customers, we develop, manufacture and install efficient, environmentally friendly, and technologically advanced high-voltage cables, (HVC), for land and offshore applications worldwide. NKT provides flexible and reliable cable solutions for a sustainable, renewable, and powerful world.

Job content:

Based in our facility in Alingsås you will be managing the work instructions regarding Incoming Goods Inspections and executing the Incoming Goods Inspection. Setting up and maintaining a methodology / system for the registration, analysis and handling of incoming Goods Inspections and 8D supplier process in case of supplier non-conformity.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse:
* Responsible for the preparation and implementation of the quality policy
* Setting up working methods and procedures to inspect repeatable incoming goods simply and accurately
* Execution of incoming goods inspection and creating conditions for incoming goods inspections such as correct specifications and measuring equipment
* Initiating actions, including 8D supplier process, in case of found deviations such as repairs, new delivery etc. so that the disruption is reduced to a minimum
* Execution and organizing the correct labelling, storage, management and return of rejected goods to the supplier
* Execution and organizing measurements, inspections and reports of sample products
* Facilitating Rapid Response Meetings

Communication:
* Is strongly linked and should drive a continuous communication with the Group Supplier Quality Engineer
* Communicating and registering deviations to suppliers and following this up internally and externally
* Being able to get the right information from internal and external parties in order to be able to carry out inspections


Management and Organization:
* Cooperation with purchasing, engineering, quality and production to ensure that the total supplier performance is mapped and that the right improvement actions are implemented in a timely manner
* Setting specific short/long-term quality targets
* Executing and implementing a system that determines, on the basis of statistical conditions, which goods must be inspected at what frequency and properly registers and records deviations
* Making reports and analysis with regard to the inbound and supplier performance
* Analyzing supplier quality, making improvement proposals, adjusting and recording processes and, if necessary, rejecting deliveries by suppliers, provided that this is properly substantiated and escalated 
* Gaining access to data needed to assess supplier quality and developing suppliers
* Hiring external expertise if necessary



Performance area:
* Reduction Cost Of Poor Quality (COPQ)
* Increase First Time Right (FTR) of delivered parts
* Reduction of Non-Conformities (NCR’s)


The right person has/is:
* 5 years of experience within an equivalent position (manufacturing industry)
* Knowledge about tools as 5-Why, 8D or equal. Six sigma is a plus
* Pro-active and has the ability of setting priorities
* MS office, Excel experience
* Fluent in English
* SAP knowledge (a plus)
