In the project, you will be part of an exciting journey to set the base for final assembly in China and help us develop a future plant with high quality and digitalization.

Your assignment
A project within P&L, Production & Logistics, has been initiated to develop and implement this hub in China. One part of this project is the final assembly (TCM), which includes the chassis plant’s building and equipment prepared to produce according to the technical capacity demanded by China market.

We know that success in this team depends on the people in it and we value different perspectives. The project team (TC) is growing rapidly with short ways to decisions. We have many new projects ongoing which create many challenges and opportunities, we handle these in close cooperation within our team.

As Quality Engineer your assignment includes several activities:


• Introduction of Quality Methods to prevent and solve quality issues, such as Risk Analysis, Process Audit, and Problem Solving.
• Work with P&L leaders to implement quality governance models on the shop floor, including quality assessments, root cause analysis teams, and total quality management structure.
• Act as a project manager to plan, execute and control quality prevention and appraisal processes scope as quality inspection setup, quality tools, equipment purchasing, risk reduction coordination, legal demands fulfillment, etc.
• Define quality system requirements by working closely with IT and automation team
• Represent quality in cross-functional forums with areas such as process engineering, R&D, and logistics
• Training team members and operators with Quality Methods

Your profile
You have a University degree within engineering degree or similar as a base and speak and write fluent English. We believe you have a couple of years of experience as a process engineer or project manager. You have preferably worked in Chassis Assembly and you are experienced in SPS.

You prefer to have several projects on the go and you do not only want to follow well-trodden paths; sometimes you prefer to go your own way. You are analytical, and structured, with a hands-on approach. We believe that good cooperation and communication skills are key to being successful in an international context together with cross-functional teams. Your wiliness to continuously develop yourself will be an advantage.

Your location
The China project team (TC) is based in Södertalje. However, flexible work location may be applied to reflect the competencies needed and deliveries in the project. Business trips abroad and to China can be considered.
