Quality & Launch is a shared service within the Product Stream Vehicle Platform (VP). We support ARTs and Teams throughout the whole product life cycle from concept development phase to running production – always with the end customer in focus.
The responsibility of Quality & Launch department is to strengthen the VP deliveries by supporting with quality assurance expertise in early phase, support flawless launch and manage quality issues from the field. The team consist of employees situated in Gothenburg and in all our plants worldwide.
This position is located at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What you will do as a Product Quality Engineer
• You are part of an agile Team working in a cross-functional network.
• Be responsible for leading and scoping the analysis of upcoming quality concerns.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive for ICA (Interim Containment Action) and together with ARTs support PCA (Permanent Corrective Action) to secure Product and Process Quality.
• Analysis of returned field material.
• With the help from our worldwide network make sure we are aligned in all our plants.
You and your skills
• We see that you have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree within SW, Electronics, Mechatronics or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• You are analytical and structured and have experience from working with quality issues and root cause analysis (e.g. DMAIC methodology).
• You have experience from diagnostics and fault tracing.
• You have experience in product development and product knowledge, preferably within Vehicle Platform systems.
• You have technical understanding of how a solution works all the way to the end customer including supplier and our manufacturing processes.
• You enjoy working with others.
• You are fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
• You have a driver license
