With over 190 years of chocolate drink experience and 3 factories in Europe, Barry Callebaut Beverages is the world’s leading manufacturer of specialty cocoa and high-quality milk-based solutions. Uncover the unique machine functionality of all our products. The beverage development center of Barry Callebaut is located outside Helsingborg, Sweden. There, powder drinks are developed and manufactured for a global market. The focus is on chocolate and coffee, but also tea and milk products are in the assortment. The products are marketed under brands such as Ögonblink, Van Houten, Caprimo, Bensdorp and Le Royal.
You will be part of the Quality Team where you will be responsible for quality checks to ensure compliance with ensuring that the method and equipment comply with quality requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
As our Quality Laboratory Technician you will
● Execute quality sampling plans (micro, analytical) to ensure compliance of production environment, process, raw materials, packaging, rework and products in the most efficient way and release conform products/processes/environments
● Ensure execution of quality analysis agreed with customers, issue and send Certificates of Analysis
● Review analysis results and supplier documents for raw materials and packaging materials to evaluate conformance. React (disapprove or approve with derogation) and follow up with suppliers when deviations occur
● Propose decisions on disposition of non conform raw materials, packaging, rework, finished products, processes and production environment
● Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures,
● Track, trace and put on hold when and as required
● Participate in BC lab proficiency testing and implement required corrective actions
● Participate on a daily basis in Sensory Panel Sessions
● Provide training and expert advice if and when required
● Contribute to cost and efficiency improvement activities, taking into account safety, legal and quality requirements
ABOUT YOU - Things We Will Be Looking For
Primarily we are looking for a person with experience from a laboratory environment, preferably the food, pharmaceutical or feed industry. You are a graduate student with previous experience in food technology, microbiology, chemistry or an equivalent area, ideally a relevant internship or a few years of career experience so far. What is most important is your attitude, willingness and ability to quickly learn and maintain good relationships both with customers as well as internally with other employees. Other requirements include:
Professional qualifications
● Experience in collecting and analyzing data
● Experience in HACCP, food safety and sustainability and quality management system
● Solid skills in Google environment, Microsoft Office and SAP preferred
● Fluent in Swedish and English language is a must, any other language is a plus

● Self starter with the ability to work with international & cross functional teams

● The job location is in Kågeröd, Sweden.
