Quality Manager

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an experienced Quality Manager to join our passionate team in Västerås as the weekend manager of product, process and production Quality in the factory.
In joining us you will play an important part in establishing the highest quality performance in our production in Västerås.
The Quality Manager will with his/her team drive bold quality improvements, achieve excellent results and KPI's and systematically prevent non-conformances.
You will closely cooperate with other teams such as Production, Maintenance, Process Engineering and R&D. You will ensure that the quality system is efficient and effective in measuring, evaluating and improving quality across programs, services, operations and products.
Key responsibilities
Defining Quality strategy, approach and execution
Leading and directing your Quality team at Northvolt Labs in Västerås Friday to Monday
Improve and drive the Quality excellence roadmap and it's execution
Be accountable for the product and process quality as well as mentor and provide quality leadership to own team and other factory staff
Set bold Quality targets, e.g. process capability, variability and non-conformances
Provide technical leadership and expertise within the field of Quality Management and quality improvement methodology such as Lean Six Sigma
Monitoring of all the Quality activities, test results, defects and non conformities, root cause analysis/8D investigations and identifying areas of improvement as well as improving the QMS. Implement steps required to improve the processes.



Skills & Requirements
Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering Degree
Strong experience and skill in supporting IT solutions (quality, dashboards, reporting, ERP).
Quality Management experience in high volume manufacturing, e.g. semiconductors, electronics manufacturers, automotive suppliers etc.
First hand exposure to production and manufacturing in high-stress, fast pace environments.
Strong leadership and ability to problem solve and shape the company's Quality processes, strategies and performance
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, six-sigma (green or black belt), 8D, 5S, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949.
Be an advocate of the Quality Management System, Continuous Improvement and industry recognised Best Practices.
Excellent knowledge of Risk Management, Risk Identification and Risked Based approaches.
Experience in building a successful Quality organisation and achieving high quality performance.
