Base Materials, within ‘Finance & Supplier Management’, is looking for a Quality Manager who is capable of creating and managing a holistic quality requirement view of Tetra Pak’s base materials.

The role is very senior, and you are expected to create and drive the quality agenda within Base Materials. Whilst the role is as an individual contributor with no direct reports, informal leadership capabilities will have to be top class. Data, analytics, reality understanding and business intelligence is not only key to Base Materials, but it’s something you are expected to develop & deliver.

This position is based in Lund, Sweden reporting to the Director Quality & Digitalization, also based in Lund.

What you will do

· Develop long term Quality objectives for Base Materials based on real customer performance and companywide consolidation of current vs. required performance
· Develop short- and long-term Quality Strategic direction for Base Materials in line with overall Tetra Pak Strategy and Base Material’s mandate and realities
· Systematic development and follow-up of Quality Key Performance Indicators for Base Materials
· Develop Customer Performance intelligence in relation to base materials’ attributes and properties
· Create, gather, cross reference and synthesize facts, figures and data, to create intelligence on quality performance in an objective and factual way
· Draw conclusions and propose corrective actions to improve overall quality performance
· Prepare agenda for the Base Material Quality Review governance forum (BMQR) and moderate the meetings
· Develop and improve the Quality Maturity and Quality Culture within Base Materials
· Create value through a well-functioning QM pillar
· Prepare to obtain and maintain the ISO 9001 certification in partnership with D&T
· Super User and Business Expert of our Claims and Complaints process
· Create a close connection and collaboration with markets, converting factories, base material categories and suppliers. Understand their modus operandi, processes, needs, and ensure transparent and shared view of quality improvements
· Participate in functional networks and selected strategic programs to ensure alignment and coherence with companywide initiatives and objectives

Who you are

We believe you have an university degree and at least 3-5 years experience in a product quality role where Quality Analysis has been your responsibility. You are an expert in Business Objects, and you easily know how to gather performance facts from all Tetra Pak’s business systems.
You also have likely experience from working in one of our converting factories or in a role having had frequent contact with converting factories. You have 2-5 years experience from WCM work and you know WCM theories.
We believe you have been involved in external and/or internal audits. Knowledge and expertise in BRC GS Packaging Material and ISO 9001/22000 are considered a merit. Having led or been involved in supplier collaboration activities is also considered a merit.

Your strongest ability, besides being a role model informal leader, is to build and gather intelligence as well as analysing the result. You have an excellent ability to communicate a plan that will be followed by the team. You are confident and dynamic, yet humble in personality with a high level of drive and appetite to develop both personally and the environment/people around you. You are passionate about structure and good order. You are a Team-player as well as an individual contributor.

Fluent in English and preferably Swedish, written and verbal. Other languages considered a merit.
