Our Exciting Opportunity
Product Development Unit Radio drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson’s radio products and solutions. We are a global organization, within Development Unit Networks (DNEW), of approximately 3,000 engineers and developers collaborating across nine sites in Canada, China and Sweden to drive Ericsson’s strategy of securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G.
Beginning of 2020 PDU Radio launched an organizational and operational transformation to facilitate the gradual, but the rapid change from radio boxes to functions and modular architectures. By improving our ways of working and organizational structure we will also:
• Enable key technologies faster and shorten product TTM
• Meet the portfolio demands more efficiently with better quality
• Plan and drive quality activities and make them stick.
• Strengthen product architecture and systemization
• Move from a too tactical setup towards a more strategic one
• Develop the competence and careers of our people through a targeted People Plan
Quality Assurance is a section in the Radio Product Sweden 1 sector that focuses on end-to-end radio product development for the site to enable efficient WoW and shorten TTM with high Quality.
The position is based in Kista and may require travel to other PDU Radio sites in Sweden, China and Canada.
You will
• Plan and lead quality activities during the development of Radio Product Sweden 1 portfolio at Kista site
• Secure quality plan is integrated into project plans
• Drive quality attitude and quality methods and tools training
• Visualize project quality status thru statistics and analysis of quality data
• Ensure findings and experiences are pushed towards global Quality forum as well as implement input from other sites
• Contribute in driving internal efficiency and cost-effectiveness via new or alignment of existing ways of working across all radio design and supply sites globally
• Ensure that all product Quality risks are lifted for active decision making, both during the development and maintenance phase
• Work with E2E quality management, early phases, supplier, robustness and reliability, production, product in the field
• Perform quality control and quality retrospective (closed-loop)


To be successful in the role you must have

• Several years of experience within R&D including customer interaction or Product Management
• Business and customer focus with an emphasis on seeing the big picture and making decisions
• Ability to inspire change that can make an impact across PDU radio & drive tangible change
• Understanding and ability to influence Radio external orgs (e.g. CES/supply/services) to change
• Ability to present on difficult topics in front of customers (can act on behalf of Radio senior management)

• Several years of leadership experience
