Scania has taken the strategic decision to set up a 3rd industrial hub in China - a project to develop and implement full-scale assembly operations has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. The project is well on its way to starting the establishment and it is high time to start setting up the local organisation. We are now looking for Quality Manager at the Paintshop within Cab who will join our project team and start to implement our quality methods and process! This is a unique possibility to work in a diverse, global, and cross-functional context where your personal experience and your perspective will contribute to Scania’s success in China.
Your assignment
As a Quality Manager at the Paintshop, you will be responsible to implement Quality Control Plan Process and developing the organisation, and having the responsibility of SPS. One important task will be to recruit and develop the organization within quality, methods, and ways of working with quality in a holistic perspective in primer painting and top coat painting. You want to be involved in creating a challenging and inspiring environment where keywords such as energy and collaboration characterize the relationship between employees, colleagues, and customers.
The second important area, as a manager, you also have an operational role with overall responsibility for staff, work environment, quality, and finances. You work both globally and in cross-functional forums within Scania and are part of the Cab quality management team.
Your main responsibilities will span over a wide range of areas and your main activities among others will be:
• Recruit and develop the quality organisation for the Paintshop
• Develop Quality Control and implementing all standards needed
• Ensure that the line organization is prepared, trained, and ready for the transition to Scania's way of working
• Communicate and disseminate information within the organization and anchor decisions and solutions
• Actively participate in workshops, project and decision meetings, represent the project team in cross-functional meetings, present status and follow up the manning and identification of competence needs
Your profile
We are looking for a leader with experience in personnel management, well-versed in Scania’s quality processes, with experience in applying Scania Way and Scania Leadership Model. You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or the equivalent knowledge acquired some other way. Ideally, you have at least 3 years of work experience in leadership and project management. The mission requires strategic, operational as well as administrative skills. You have a growth mindset and a genuine interest in building relationships, solving problems, and pushing for positive change. We also believe you have analytic skills, and good knowledge of project- and change management.
When it comes to communication you need to be fluent in English, both in speech and in writing, and comfortable presenting to peers and senior management. You will work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands where you are highly capable of setting priorities with strong project management skills.
Your location
The Cab Production project team (TCH) is based in Oskarshamn. However, flexible work location may be applied to reflect competencies needed and deliveries in the project during the initial phase.
This position also includes an Expatriate Period in Rugao, China. The minimum Expatriate time period to be considered is 2 years but it can also be longer, with an estimated start in Rugao in the middle of 2024 but the final plan is to be decided with the appointed manager.
