We are looking for a strong Quality profile with excellent collaboration and communication skills - passionate about Quality. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a unique product and a state-of-the-art production in a global environment where Quality is top priority.
Responsibility
This position is part of the Rotating Electric Line (REL) organization. Your main purpose is to ensure highest quality standards, according to legal, company and customer specific requirements. As a Quality Manager you will have the overall responsibility for an organization of about 20 people. You will work in a cross-functional setting in close cooperation with several internal functions, as well as external parties like customers and suppliers. You will be in almost daily contact with the customers. Top priority will be to focus on corrective and preventive actions in order to improve quality KPIs like yield, scrap and claims. You will be responsible for the Quality System (IATF 16949) and ensure fulfillment of the automotive industry standards (including methods, tools and continuous improvement), as well as customer specific requirements. Your responsibility includes, but is not limited to:
Plan, lead and follow up your team
Quality improvement activities, both daily problem-solving (according to 8D) and long-term continuous improvements
Ensure feedback and lessons learned from customer claims
Secure relevant trainings and tools within the area of Quality
Internal audits
Perform Process FMEA and data analysis connected to the REL production line
Cooperation with R&D in US
Budget responsibility for your department
You are reporting to the Production Manager (REL).
Profile
We are looking for an experienced (minimum 8 years) candidate with strong Quality background, preferably from a manufacturing company with complex products and large international customers. We believe you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or similar, together with a good technical understanding. You have managerial experience and you enjoy cooperating cross-functionally. It is considered a strong merit if you have experience from an industry with high quality standards, such as Automotive or Medical Device. You have good knowledge about numerical statistical methods for data analysis.
In order to be successful in this role we think you need a high level of ambition, together with a large portion of persistence. You are not afraid of making yourself heard, and you feel comfortable communicating with different kind of people, like colleagues and customers. You possess strong problem-solving skills and you can easily switch focus from strategic thinking to daily problem-solving at the production line. You have a hands-on role-up-your sleeves mentality, together with a strong analytical mind. Last but not least, you promote team-working and you make people work together.
