About the role
As a key player in a small but dynamic company with large, demanding customers, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products comply with all relevant Food Safety requirements and standards. Your knowledge of plastic and silicone materials, along with your understanding of applicable regulations and standards, will be crucial to your success in this role. You will collaborate closely with both customers and suppliers to ensure that our products maintain the highest quality. You will also support our RnD, operations and sales teams in Lund in quality related tasks.
Your role will involve both hands-on problem-solving and strategic oversight of quality processes. You will be part of the management team in Lund.
Key responsibilities Ensure that the company's products and processes comply with all applicable Food Safety requirements.
Ensure that the company complies with all applicable standards, such as FSSC 22000, ISO9001, ISO14001 and NSF.
Develop, monitor, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System to meet client expectations and industry standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters with key customers and suppliers.
Independently drive quality-related initiatives and improvement projects.
Planning, managing and follow-up external and internal revisions, site inspections etc.
Lead the company’s Food Safety Team
Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including Declarations of Conformity (DoC).
Manage relevant (external) laboratory tests to verify product quality according to relevant standards and regulations.
Your profile and qualifications
The roll requires work experience in quality management and strong understanding of quality standards, such as ISO or equivalent, preferably with a focus on Food Safety. You must have the ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing quality challenges. Experience in managing both customers and suppliers as well as writing and reviewing technical documentation is necessary. Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
Knowledge of plastic and silicone materials, as well as the specific requirements and standards for these materials within the food industry or similar, is meritorious. We believe that you have a MSc or Engineering degree within Quality, although work experience and personal qualities are more highly valued.
To succeed in the role, you have excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive solutions. You are adaptable to different tasks, demands and situations and have a pragmatic approach when prioritizing and tackling various tasks.
