Quality Manager to Avantor Sciences

Are you a Quality Assurance Specialist or a Quality Manager with great people skills? Do you have experience working with ISO9001 and ISO17025? We are currently looking for a Quality Manager for a global life science company!

About the position
As Quality Manager you are responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving quality management systems in Avantor´s sites in the Nordics. To be successful in this role you will promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement throughout the organization via multiple channels. You will also make decisions based on customer, associate, regulatory, and company best interests, and drive the strategic activities of Quality Assurance.

This is a key position in the company with responsibility of the sites in the Nordic countries. The Quality Manager in the Nordics works in close collaboration with the Quality Manager in Germany and reports to the Distribution Quality Director EMEA APAC.

Common daily tasks and area of responsibilities:
• Implement, communicate, and maintain the Company´s ISO9001 Quality Systems and Policies in compliance with quality management system requirements.
• Maintain document controls and documented procedures.
• Identify relevant quality related training needs and deliver training.
• Coordinate internal audits based on the audit plan and perform internal audits.
• Manage complaint handling for customer complaints.
• Ensure corrective and preventive action handling is completed and effectiveness evaluated.
• Liaise with customers´ auditors and ensure the execution of corrective actions and compliance with customers´ needs.
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure the execution of corrective actions and compliance.
• Coordinate recall actions and feedback to European Recall team.
• Coordinate response to customer questionnaires, quality agreements, and specifications.
• Perform management review against the ISO Quality Standard.
• Maintain, collate, and analyze quality performance data and charts against defined parameters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The position is a consulting assignment of 1 year via Adecco that starts immediately. For the right candidate, it is possible to discuss a permanent position at the company when the assignment is over. The daily work will take place on site in Avantor´s offices in Spånga.

About you
We are looking for someone who has a degree in an applied science, commerce or engineering field and a minimum of 1 year experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Management in a big and global company, preferably within the biopharma or life science sector. You have experience in ISO9001 and ISO17025 quality management systems and a demonstrated experience working with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers. Additionally, you have good written and oral communication skills in English, and fluency in at least one of the Nordic languages.

To be successful in this role you need to be customer oriented, decisive and have high integrity. You value teamwork and have great collaboration and people skills, as well as enjoy working independently. Additionally, you need to be service minded and have very strong communication skills.

Important for the position:
• Degree in an applied science, commerce or engineering field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Management
• Demonstrated experience working with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers
• Experience in ISO9001 and ISO17025 quality management systems.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Fluency in at least one of the Nordic languages.
• Great collaboration and people skills
• Excellent communication skills
