About the position
Are you a quantitative analyst with an interest in energy transition and advanced data analytics? Then this could be the right opportunity for you! We are seeking a data-driven quantitative analyst to join our Energy Markets team in Malmö.
As a quantitative analyst, you will be part of the Quantitative Analytics & Business Development team, where we manage electricity and gas portfolios for the Nordic operations within E.ON. You will work in a team consisting of analysts and business developers and collaborate closely with colleagues in Energy Markets in Sweden as well as corresponding organizations within the E.ON group.
Your main tasks include modeling prices, risks, and volume development, supporting e.g trading front office, controlling and sales activities. You will work close to some core business operation e.g. handling daily modelling for pricing purposes, as well as develop new models, and conduct ad hoc analyses to further improve E.ON’s capabilities. We strive to continuously improve and automate our work by becoming more data-driven, and we have a high ambition to deliver value and results to our customers.
We are looking for
To succeed in this role, we believe you have a relevant academic background in financial mathematics, industrial economics, or similar, as well as experience from the energy industry or another commodity market. We would like you to have a data scientist profile with experience in MS Azure and skills in Python programming. We have daily deliveries to the front office, the pricing team, and other functions, which requires a flexible mindset and being a team player who contributes with expertise.
