Nasdaq Clearing is now looking for a Quantitative Developer to join the technology-driven and highly productive Risk Modelling team. Nasdaq Clearing is a multi-asset derivatives clearinghouse covering commodity, equity and fixed-income products.


With this position we offer


We are the Risk Modelling team, consisting of quantitative analysts and software developers and are looking for a new colleague in either Umeå or Stockholm. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining the risk models used by the clearinghouse to handle the various risks associated with the derivatives clearing business, such as counterparty, market and liquidity risks. You will play a prominent role in the development, implementation and management of these models.


The Risk Management department strives for intra-team knowledge sharing across markets and tasks, and here, you will have the possibility to reach in-depth knowledge of all the inherent risks of Nasdaq Clearing. You will, from time to time, work closely with specialists from various teams within Nasdaq Clearing such as Risk Operations, Credit Risk, Business Development and Technology. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain a detailed understanding of the derivatives clearing business!


Your role and responsibilities


Be responsible for developing, operating and maintaining the Risk Modelling team’s end user-developed application framework.
Plan and be responsible for the production of applications in collaboration with product owners and other key internal partners
Act as a software development mentor within the team
Improve the agile development process
Deploy and maintain databases used by the various teams within the risk management organization at Nasdaq


We expect you to have


Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field with a focus on software development.
At least 4 years of working experience
Experience working with cloud technology
Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programmings languages like Java or C#
Experience working with relational databases, and database performance
Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
Analytical skills and self-motivation


It would be great if you have


Experience working with DevOps
Experience working with AWS, terraform, RDS, EC2, Redshift or other big data solutions
Experience working with.NET Entity Framework and C#
Experience working with SQL Server databases
Experience using Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
