As part of AstraZeneca the Nordic-Baltic (NOBA) Marketing Company employs around 450 people across 7 countries and has offices located in Södertälje, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. We are now seeking our new Director Financial Planning & Analysis placed in Sweden. This role offers significant responsibilities in managing NOBA´s business performance and coordination of activities in close collaboration with the CFO. You will lead a team of Finance Business Partner Analysts and drive the Finance Partnership with the Business to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the Nordic-Baltic Marketing Company.

The role
In the role as Director Financial Planning & Analysis, you will act as business expert for the Nordic pharmaceutical sector. You proactively engage with senior business leaders and provide advice, guidance and support thereby empowering decision making to achieve efficient brand performance.
You are involved in creating and executing business strategy and plans to maximize value for the business. Your ability to examine operational performance through different lenses will contribute with new points of view. Here, you can make use of your broad understanding of financial disciplines, lead complex business analysis, and effectively employ financial modelling and forecasting techniques to identify and respond to new business opportunities.
You build strong relationships with senior leaders, both within and outside of the Marketing Company. You also need to effectively communicate financial results in a coherent and understandable way also to non-finance individuals. In parallel, you coach your team on leading key partnerships to create long-term mutual value.
What you will do:
apply your robust knowledge of our business processes, organisational structure, regulatory environment and our value chain to the finance processes
show a sound insight into macro-economic trends and market context and understand the impact they have on our business and our performance
base your activities on your fundamental understanding of our competitors, their products, their channels and their strategy
apply your understanding to support senior management in making fact-based decisions wherever possible
maintain an up to date knowledge of financial policies and key business drivers and leverage these to lead effective integration of business strategy with financial management.

We are seeking a person that proactively identifies business strategy opportunities to drive value. You effectively lead communications within the business in a compelling way.
M.Sc., MBA or equivalent in relevant subject area
Minimum of 5 years applicable work experience
detailed understanding of the pharmaceutical industry (min 3 years proven experience)
Experience from working in an international company
Your demonstrated ability to perform in a team and dynamic environment will be important for this role. You will be a core partner across the business and therefore need to have excellent interpersonal skills.
You must have excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
