Work description
The radiation safety team is now looking for 2 Radiation Safety Technicians.
The person will work with the team of radiation safety research engineers and radiation safety technicians to execute operational tasks required for radiation safety in MAX IV.
Operational tasks include:
- Routine measurements
- Monitoring operations and interlock systems
- Managing dosimeter issuance and replacements
- Collaboration with control room operators
- Collaboration with floor coordinators
- Commissioning measurements
- Radiation safety support to beam lines and users
Qualifications
Good proficiency in both Swedish and English is a requirement.
The job requires university level education or equivalent within physics, engineering physics, or medical physics. Experience in radiation safety, accelerator facilities are an advantage
Qualities such as detail oriented and being systematic in managing and completing tasks a valuable for this job.

The employment will be on hourly basis with a minimum of 10% of working time in a month. The job follows a shift schedule that includes day, evening, and night shifts on Mondays to Fridays. The employment is for 6 months.

MAX IV is a Swedish national large-scale research laboratory hosted by Lund University. It provides scientists from Sweden as well as internationally, with state-of-the-art instrumentation for research in areas such as engineering, physics, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. It will receive up to 2 000 scientists annually, conducting ground-breaking experiments in materials and life sciences using the brilliant X-ray light.
