Job Description
Optimization Engineer (GSM/UMTS/ LTE) is responsible for overseeing the design, deployment, and optimization of wireless telecommunications networks. Managing the design phase will include overseeing pre-deployment equipment analysis, technology assessment, radio network planning , and interference analysis, demand planning, test and measurement of the equipment, and interfacing with the market development team. In the optimization stage, supervise optimal network performance, KPI and network statistics analysis, and parameter optimization. The individual will typically oversee and guide the work of RF and optimization Engineers, in charge of managing the day to day operations of the projects, and interface with Project Managers. The Optimization Engineer (GSM/UMTS/LTE) will answer technical questions as well as day to day operational questions.

Qualifications that we consider essential for this role are:
Degree in t wireless, microwave, radio transmission, antenna, communications and electronics, or related fields.
Proficient knowledge for mobile communications and principles of GSM/UMTS/LTE products, signaling flow and protocols, electromagnetic theory, radio transmission, antenna system, and so on.
Ability in implement and supervise installation, commission and testing independently (including survey and acceptance).
Over 3 years experience in radio network planning and optimization
Driving license is an advantage when customer visits are common.
Fluency in English, Swedish is preferred

Organization
As RNP/RNO Engineer you will work within the Nordic and Baltic organization and report to the project manager. The Nordic and Baltic organization is managed and controlled from Kista, Sweden. Location for this role, Kista, Sweden, but travel can be part of the service.
