Job description
We are recruiting diagnostic radiology nurses/radiographers to our two hospitals in the neighbouring cities of Norrköping and Linköping.
As a radiology nurse/radiographer, you have the opportunity to work with diagnostic and interventional patient examinations using conventional radiology, computerised tomography, ultrasound and magnet resonance tomography.
We also provide nuclear medicine services, mammography and dental radiology. Our Region’s extensive radiology equipment is top of the range and includes a photon counting computed tomography.
As a radiology nurse/radiographer in Region Östergötland you are responsible for patient imaging and patient care whilst the patient is in the radiology department. You supervise and educate new employees and students. You help us develop our radiology service.
We provide a 24 hour acute radiology service as well as non-acute radiology. We provide general radiology and sub-specialised radiology.

Requirements
Registered license within the EU/EEA for diagnostic radiology as radiology nurse or radiographer.
Basic computer skills
English and Swedish language skills.

You have ability to make quick, accurate decisions on a daily basis.
You enjoy working in teams with different professions and have excellent communication and listening skills.

Terms of employment
Before moving to Sweden you need to reach a certain level in the Swedish language and have your medical training recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/en/licence-application/.
The employment will start with a trial period, combined with further language studies. If the trial period will be proved satisfactory and you demonstrate required skills recognized by the County Council of Östergötland, it will automatically turn into a permanent employment.
All contracts follow local and national collective agreements. Salary is set individually depending on your qualification and experience.
