This position is in the Strategic Competence Unit (SCU) within the Service Area Network Design and Optimization (SA NDO) in Ericsson. The SCU is a global service delivery expertise group located in a few countries. You will be working mainly with the latest technology (i.e., 5G, ML/AI, Cloud-RAN, Network slicing) and will be involved in projects with many diverse customers around the world. In this role, you will be an expert and a go-to person in the field of Network Design and Optimization.
What you will do
Deliver services and provide presales support in Network Design and Optimization (NDO)
Develop and improve offerings for services, software, and products
Advise technical staff and senior management in customer organizations, to understand their requirement.
Develop complex end-to-end solutions to meet operators’ technical and business requirements
Implement customer solutions within the agreed time, scope and cost, manage expectations and acquire acceptance
Share knowledge within Ericsson and with customers
You will bring
Strong technical skills, expertise, and experience in radio network design and optimization, including a track record of consulting and leading people.
Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering, or IT
About 10 years of proven experience in radio access network design and optimization
Recognized as a top technical expert in their area of expertise within their company
NDO expertise in 5G. Cloud-RAN, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence (ML & AI) knowledge is an asset.
End to End knowledge covering RAN, transport, packet core and devices.
Skills/experience in programming languages; (e.g., Python - Pandas & NumPy, Pyspark, Hadoop, Git repository or similar) is an advantage
Personal attributes and additional requirements
Able to work effectively as part of a diverse team in complex and fast-paced engagements
Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and learn independently
Innovative
Result oriented with a focus on customer happiness and project delivery
Excellent communication and consulting skills. Proficient English, both written and spoken
Openness and curiosity to travel globally as per business requirements (more than 50% of the time).
