Job Description
The R&D Fire Safety and ATEX Specialist shall enable the design of ATEX classification drawings for the various blocks that comprise the R&D 2.0 facility in Sweden. This specialist has the overall responsibility for overseeing the production of fire safety and ATEX deliverables, coordination among the various design disciplines, and review process of ATEX classification material.

At a high level, the scope for the R&D activities includes the following:
- Gathering all necessary inputs to guide the ATEX consultant
- Produce scope of work documents and initiate contract with the external ATEX consultant
- Manage the ATEX design consultant and review all generated deliverables
- Coordinate review sessions with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to ensure conformance.

Key Responsibilities

Fire suppression design and requirements:
Knowledge of different fire suppression technologies and corresponding suppliers. Understanding of the relative advantages and disadvantages of these in different applications.
Familiarity with relevant legislation, codes and guidelines such as NFPA, SBF, European Standards, and FM Global Datasheets.
Understanding of the workflow and different inputs required to create a fully functional design and installation.

Experience with ATEX and related classification studies:
High level of knowledge about the laws and regulations regarding the regulations of ATEX and flammable goods.
Produce and review permits for flammable substances and goods.About client
