R&D Cable Design Engineer

Ericsson Cables and Interconnect offers an exciting position.You will drive your portfolio of Cables and cooperate with product line, market and sales, sourcing, supply and test laboratories.R&D Cable Design Engineer We are looking for a result-oriented, structured individual with technical skills to strengthen our technical performance and competitiveness of our portfolio of Cables.You will also support a dedicated team of operative product managers located at our production facility in Falun.The Cable design engineer reports to the Manager at Cable Design and is responsible for: - Transforming requirements and specifications into energy cable products and solutions.- Secure that the products are designed with the proper quality, cost efficiency and delivery on time.- Maintenance of existing products in the portfolio.- Secure that products designed are documented according to Ericsson's design principle.- Providing technical product information for offers to sales.- Phase out planning and execution.- Secure efficient ways of working, process and tools The product scope covers: - High voltage cables - Medium voltage cables - Low voltage cables - Cable accessories Qualifications: You have good technical skills to perform R&D on product/system of cable design and have an understanding on business.You are structured and communicative, enjoy working with customer and can provide technical solution base on customer requirements.You are self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge.Electrical engineer Master of Science degree or equivalent education.Minimum of one years experience from product development and preferable from hardware design work.Knowledge and understanding of Ericsson's design process is desired.Good communication skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written.The position is located in Falun, Sweden.
