To be a global champion the Traton group must have a presence in one of the world’s biggest commercial vehicle markets: China. The premium Scania truck will be produced in Scania´s production plant in Rugao, our third production footprint. Your work assignments
As a Technical Lead Engineer for Chassis Brake System, you will have the technical lead role for the brake system of the chassis. You will be expected to lead the development of the brake system, plan the required tests and also in some extent perform them under given conditions. You will work at chassis but have interfaces and responsibilities all over R&D, external partners, and local authorities in China, in order to coordinate the work with other workstreams you will lead the cross-functional brake forum.

Your profile
You are comfortable working in an organisation under build-up, where not everything is in place, you like to take initiative and are able to fast and efficiently solve problems and deliver results.

As a person, you are engaged, solution-oriented, and fast-paced. You have courage, take great responsibility and have a good ability to develop and maintain a wide network of contacts at all levels. We believe that you are used to working and delivering on high expectations.

Work will be done from Södertälje and flexible work location may be applied to reflect the needed competencies and project deliveries. Later options will be discussed to be on shorter or longer assignments in our new R&D office in China, based on interest and business needs.

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or the equivalent knowledge acquired some other way. You also have competence and experience from working with brake systems for trucks. You need to be fluent in English, written and spoken.
