R&D Director Audio Products

We are looking for an R&D Director to the Audio Products team at New Business (NB), developing Network Speakers and Audio System Devices in Lund, Sweden.

Who is your future team?
NB Audio Products is a newly created department that consists of project managers, line managers, and engineers developing hardware (electronics and mechanics) for Axis' Audio products.

What you'll do here as R&D Director?

* You will build and develop your department to make sure that the teams and projects execute under the best possible conditions to deliver value to our customers.
* You will be a manager of managers and project managers. Together you will work with both operational and long-term strategical challenges.
* You will drive the product project development model at New Business as well as how we work together with other important parts of Axis.
* You will have close collaboration with the management team that is responsible for developing the Axis Audio Solution including the software platform and the software products.
* You will have close collaboration with Audio Product Managers.
* You will be part of the NB R&D management team and will be involved in the work of the overall development of our R&D Department at New Business.

Who are we looking for/Who are you?
You should have a strong interest in developing organizations, teams, and individuals. This means you will be able to motivate the people you work with, to create an open, productive, and innovative work environment. Apart from this we believe you have a strong personal drive, enjoy teamwork and leadership comes natural to you.

* Technical experience and knowledge of hardware product development including electronics, mechanics, firmware, and volume production.
* A master's degree in engineering and a professional background relevant for the team's competence area.
* Fluent in Swedish and English.

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

* Experience of leading line managers and project managers.
* Several years of project management experience.
