This is an exciting role as an electrical engineer, in which you will be part of a diverse and highly effective team, contribute to the overall growth of a market leader in medical devices. We see many opportunities ahead involving electronics and active medical devices.
This is an electrical engineering position responsible for design and development of low power, and often battery operated, medical devices. This position must have a good understanding of both analog and digital circuit design and be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Close cooperation with other functions in a cross-functional team will be required to be successful. It also requires interaction with outside contacts, like design houses, vendors, manufacturing sites, software developers and quality groups.
Main job responsibilities
• Responsible for design and development of low power battery operating device used for voice and pulmonary rehabilitation. Provide technical and leadership excellence for the team.
• Participate in generating design requirements, prototyping and design implementation.
• Responsible for generating test requirement matrices and procedures to verify the outputs.
• Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to analyze failures to improve design or manufacturing processes.
• Apply human factor / usability and design validation process.
• Active member of a cross-functional team, engaging in meetings to review design, manufacturing procedures or quality related issues.
• Participate in risk management analysis and documentation.
• Product lifecycle management with responsibility for design modifications, new component qualification, design change test requirements and design change documentation.
Your qualifications & competencies
• Minimum of a Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical Engineering and preferred 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical device field is a plus.
• Demonstrated working experience of electrical engineering (analog and digital); low power embedded design and tools and instruments utilized in electrical engineering field.
• Ability to communicate at multiple levels of an organization.
• Ability to organize and judge priorities.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and EMC standards for medical devices is a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO13485, MDR, QSReg, ISO 14971 and RoHSis a plus.
