R&D Electronics Design Lead till Haldex Brakes, China

Haldex has initiated a joint venture with VIE. The aim is to design,
develop, produce, and sell electromechanical brake systems for
commercial vehicles with an initial focus on the electric bus market in China (see below). This position is part of a new R&D team.

The R&D Electronics Design Lead is responsible for developing the electronics team and of new product development within the scope of the JV strategy. The responsibility also includes to develop systems, processes and procedures for efficient design work within the team. The responsibility also includes to represent product development and to collaborate with business development in order to generate new business. The responsibility also includes to prepare and communicate technical system proposals with customers and to follow up on the same.

Develop the electronics team to meet the strategic objectives of new product development
Product knowledge
Manage risk within the project
Champion transparency and compliance to TS16949, APQP, HPMM and yearly budget process
Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics engineering
Embedded systems and motor control
Experience to lead and develop teams and processes
Product development in electronics and/or electro mechanics in automotive segment
Experience in business development and manufacturing (automotive preferred)
Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills
Languages: English and preferably customer specific language

Assure right competences and resources within the team
Assure the team efficiency through well-defined and structured processes
Coach the team in order to ensure good communication and collaboration within the team and with the rest of the organization
Apply a detailed level of product knowledge and experience to enable customer credibility and to be able to lead and guide the design of new products
Apply a high level of vehicle system knowledge to understand customers need in features and performance in new products
Apply a high level of product testing knowledge to ensure product verification and validation process will be thorough and complete
Escalate and drive risks and potential problems proactively, both internally and externally to secure necessary support

Experience, Education, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics engineering

Experience to lead and develop teams and processes
