About us
The materials development department consists of 15 people working as highly skilled engineers, specialists, and laboratory technicians. Our materials speciality is steel alloys, nickel-base alloys and MoSi2-based ceramics. The group consists of four sub-groups: metallic, ceramic, additive manufacturing and application testing in our Technical centre.

About the job
We need to strengthen our engineering competence within the field of ceramic materials as well as application testing of resistance heating elements in general. The anticipated output of this work is development of new ceramic materials and products suitable for resistance heating applications contributing to our customers’ shift to increased sustainability by electrification of processes.
Your responsibilities
A research engineer shall be able to independently plan, execute and report research and development activities, contribute to knowledge sharing within the group, provide technical support to our product and sales organizations by working methodically with continuous improvements. You will be working with individual tasks and assignments as well as being responsible as project manager for research and development activities. With your academic and work experience profile you will be able to work in any of our four sub-groups, preferably to further develop our ceramic research ability or contributing to our testing competence and capability as part of the Technical centre team.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with Bachelor’s degree with several years of work experience with laboratory testing, application testing, and/or ceramic development. If you don’t have work experience Master’s or PhD degree, is a requirement.
Industrial work experience in relevant areas is an advantage.
To succeed in this role, it’s also important that you have some experience from experimental analysis methodology, and as we operate on the global stage, your English skills must be advanced, verbally and in writing. Along with your skills, we’re also truly interested in your personality. Your structured and curious mindset combined with your ambitious and independent working style are your keys to success in this role. In addition, you’re goal-oriented, engaged and have a passion for communicating and networking!
