About the job
Together with your team at Materials Design & Modelling, you’re responsible for designing, developing, and validating hard materials for cutting tools – aiming to identify new and effective ways to ensure resilience and high-performance during machining. You focus on the development of novel cemented carbide materials, contributing with your expertise in projects regarding knowledge building and product development. You actively interact with our internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent cooperation. Patents is also a part of your job – to protect our technology and innovations.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a master’s in engineering within chemistry, physics, materials technology, metallurgy, or technical physics, and we consider a PhD as highly valuable. A good understanding of the properties and processing of hard metals is of advantage. Developed skills in advanced material characterization and project management are strongly appreciated as well is an interest in, and previous experience from work with R&D centers or universities. As we’re a truly global organization, you need excellent written and verbal skills in English, while knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
