Sandvik Coromant's Digital Machining R&D department is currently in an exciting expansion phase and we are now looking for an R&D Engineer for Signal Analysis and Engineering Data Scientist. Enhancing our team of ten co-workers we welcome you to an important development area in a cross-functional environment!
Key performance areas
As R&D Engineer for Data analytics and Signal Analysis you are responsible for research and development of large volume data stream management, signal analysis and signal conditioning, data analysis, machine learning, diagnostics and closed loop feedback. You develop and verify technology platforms, algorithms and software products for intelligent systems. Some of your tasks in the digital machining area are to investigate and participate in customer needs surveys and in order to identify and develop the necessary skills, algorithms, methods and models; you formalize product characteristics and requirements specification. You also develop software and services, APIs, train internal and external stakeholders, develop instructions and participate in knowledge sharing. Moreover, you identify the need for external research and, if required, participate in external research projects, supervising Master's thesis projects and trainees in your field.
This position involves some traveling.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with an MSc or a PhD in signal analysis or engineering mathematics. You have at least three years? experience within data stream management technology, multi-source data analysis and signal conditioning. Experience with and knowledge of C/C++, Python, C#, .NET, Qt/PyQt, Html5, Javascript, CSS, django are important, while knowledge of Visualisation of large data stream in 2D and 3D, OpenGL, shader programming, web based visualization, d3.js and webgl are advantageous. As we act in a global environment, your English and Swedish skills must be excellent, both verbally and in writing.
