R&D Engineer for global company!

For our client in Umeå we are looking for a R&D Engineer.


About the position
The team is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to drive the progress of their Research & Development within embedded solutions for underground autonomous vehicles such as Robot applications for mining. The company is a Swedish multinational corporation with an office located in Umeå.

As a R&D Engineer you would contribute with your own ideas to identify, propose and implement innovative technology development and solutions. You would solve industrial problems and demonstrate solid technical proficiency in your competence area by performing a variety of technology/engineering assignments, mainly in research and development (R&D) projects, which demonstrates independent ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions.

As a R&D Engineer we think that you enjoy PLC programming and open CV, C++, ROS and TensorFlow. You appreciate leading technical projects through to completion and finding creative solutions to unique challenges

Your profile
Our recruitment process focuses as much on personality/culture fit as it does on merit. That said, we know that you will have a better chance at succeeding in this role if you have the following experience:
• Minimum BSc in Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, Engineering Physics degree or equal knowledge and skills developed during work experience.
• Experience of designing computer vision-guided applications interfacing with industrial control systems.
• Experience with component selection of PLCs, servos, inverters, microcontroller technology and electronic sensors.
