R&D Engineer Systems Design

Join our team as we are expanding into new fields where embedded systems will play a vital role.
As R&D Engineer – Systems Design at Wellspect you will work in our Research & Development department and have a key role among mechanics, hardware and software developers, internal projects and suppliers. You will be part of a cross functional team that take us forward in the area of embedded systems in the medical device area.
Your focus will be to bring in new technology to the company, perform concept studies in pre-development projects and to create the system architecture for the complete medical device system in product development projects. The systems involve embedded sub systems, application SW, mechanical subsystems and single use components.
You will contribute to build up the new core competence by sharing your knowledge and experience in systems engineering to the rest of the team and defining the way of working, i.e. processes and tools.
Responsibilities;
Be involved in technical requirements and risk management activities.
Transform user needs, market requirements and regulatory requirements into a solid system design and more detailed technical specifications.
Technical lead.
Be a point of contact with internal R&D, external development partners, production, suppliers and a number of stakeholders in the development- and life cycle management process.

Qualifications / Background:
An academic education (M.Sc or B.Sc.) in electronics/mechatronics, software or similar.
At least 5 years documented experience in systems engineering for advanced products covering Mechanical parts, HW and SW.
At least 5 years documented experience in electronics or mechatronics detailed design.
Very high understanding in mechanics and material.
Used to work with standards.
Used to write technical documentation (specifications, design plans, reports, analysis etc)
It is highly meritorious with experience in developing advanced products within medical.device, functional safety or any other field involving personal safety aspects.
Strong drive to achieve goals and targets.
A creative mindset with strong analytical skills.
Great communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and verbal.
