R&D Engineer to EQUA Simulation

EQUA Simulation, with roots dating back to 1995, is a world-leading developer and supplier of simulation software for buildings, tunnels, and energy systems. Headquartered in Solna, we develop state-of-the-art simulation technology and scalable end-user simulation software applications, including a leading building performance simulation tool in the Nordics and DACH.



We are uniquely positioned in the PropTech industry with our proprietary simulation software that relies on equation-based simulation technology, making it more general, flexible, usable, and accurate that competing tools on the market. The models can also be run in real-time, permanently connected to the real system. Examples of projects in recent years are Frankfurt Airport, Mall of Scandinavia, Nya Karolinska Hospital, Cross City tunnel in Sydney, and Citybanan. 



EQUA delivers simulators based on our own technology for complex dynamic technical systems described by equations. We are also developing our own modeling environment for Modelica.  





About the role 

You will work with the core of our technology: numerical methods, interactive systems, computer algebra, parallelization, code generation, visualization, automatic control and mathematical modeling within our area of application. We are seeking a new team member with a broad interest in math modeling, technology and programming. You have a deep knowledge of your specialties but do not hesitate to help where it is needed to support the group. 



Need to have: 

- At least a master's degree or equivalent relevant knowledge 

- A structured, diligent, proactive, self-propelled personality 

- Experience in several of the following areas: 



- Modelica / FMI 

- Numerical analysis / Scientific computing 

- Automatic control

- Design space exploration and optimization 

- CFD / Fluid Mechanics 

- Thermodynamics 

- Transpiler development 

- 3D geometry, visualization, modeling

- Development of commercial software



Nice to have 

- Professional working experience related to our industry  

- Ph.D. or equivalent knowledge in one of our core areas
