About this opportunity
We are looking for a passionate leader who wants to be part in our mission to provide a World Class Development Environment including a SW platform and tools for thousands of Baseband SW developers.
We at Baseband Infrastructure (BBI) provides the Software Development Kit (SDK) to all Ericsson Radio Access Baseband applications 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. It consists of the Baseband platform products that powers the networks and the tools to program, build, analyze, test and troubleshoot the RAN Software efficiently. We are also developing and executing the continuous integration (CI) flow to enable our own developers to have a fast and reliable way to deliver and get instant feedback.
In Linköping, we are developing both tools and platform products - the compiler, based on LLVM/Clang and the build framework based on Google Bazel, and we are active contributors to both communities. The third area is the platform infrastructure for trace, where usability and performance aspects meet and often contradicts. We also have leading roles in Tools system architecture.
You will also be an important part of the BBI LT-team, to be a part of the organization’s development in all aspects.
You will be expected to take a holistic view for the completeness of BBI and build a strong network to our surrounding development organizations, stakeholders and end users.

You will bring
Strong personal drive and courageous and eager to contribute where and when possible, both inside and outside your formal responsibilities
Extensive SW development experience and interest, including Agile practices and embedded SW
Strong transparent communicator
Master of Science or corresponding University studies
Recent successful track record in R&D Line Management of SW Development or leadership within Ericsson BB/BBI development
Excellent skills in English
Experience from C, C++ and/or Java development
Experience from open source development
Our sector, Baseband Infrastructure, provides a SW platform and toolset for EMCA SW (Ericsson Multi Core Architecture) development. The platform and tools developed by us are used by thousands baseband application developers (5G, LTE, WCDMA and GSM) daily and soon also in adjacent domains! We are roughly 180 in the organization, and are a part of PDU Baseband SW. BBI is present in Sweden (Kista, Linköping, Lund), Canada (Ottawa), USA (Austin), China (Beijing, Guangzhou) and a partner in Poland.
