Arbetsbeskrivning
At Sandvik Coromant, we have a solid tradition of developing unique solutions for the tooling industry, and we’re proud to be state of the art within our field. An important key to our success is the truly game changing digital solutions, both in manufacturing preparation and how we gather data from our processes.
Now we’re looking for a forward-thinking R&D Manager to lead a highly competent and supportive team of design automation engineers. A team acting in the forefront of production automation, and at the core of our product development.
Briefly about the job
Here you’ll be an active part of a network that join forces to bring new offerings to the market, from concepts to finalized products. You implement the organization's product strategy by managing development activities with the aim to solve problems and to improve or generate new products, components, systems and processes. You plan and coordinate project deliverables, develop our way of working and ensure our stakeholders get first-class support.
As manager, you’re responsible for the overall performance and delivery of the team. You engage and coach the team, and you build a setting where everyone gets the opportunity to focus on their job and grow in their profession, while you address the challenges thrown upon them and figure out how to utilize our resources the best way possible. You also set the roadmap for developing capabilities to new levels of performance and to support our strategic direction and initiatives.
The location for this position is Sandviken.
What about you
We’re looking for a leader with the ability to convey enthusiasm and to build trust, and we expect you to have experience from acting in a similar role or as a project manager, and that you have worked with change. A genuine interest in design/CAD and programming is needed, and it’s a plus if you also have experience in this field. We see that you have a masters’ degree or equivalent in Machining, Industrial Engineering and Management, or IT, and you need good knowledge of both English and Swedish.
Your personal qualities are equally important – in this role your biggest asset is your inclusive and agile leadership skills, and you have the ability to make every individual seen and use a steady but listening management style. A strategic mindset and strong business acumen are also important to help us reach new heights.
At Sandvik Coromant, we believe that diversity of experience, perspective and background leads to a better environment for our employees, our business and our customers. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
