We are now building a new unit in Husqvarna supporting two of our divisions and are looking for

R&D Manager to our Connectivity Center

The Connectivity Center is a new unit in Husqvarna supporting Forest & Garden and Construction developing Connectivity Modules and Software components to be used when creating Connected Products.

In the Connectivity Center, as the R&D Manager, you will be responsible for driving and securing the development and test of Connectivity Modules and Software Components in the Connectivity platform. You will lead the development in a distributed organization in Sweden and Poland. The team is working in an agile manner developing and testing electronics and software.

Key responsibilities (among others)
· Overall technical responsibility for electronics and embedded software development of connectivity modules.
· Responsible for technical deliveries for both new development and maintenance of existing modules.
· Being the direct manager of the development team, including external consultants.
· Responsibility for R&D budget planning and follow-up.
· Define and implement R&D strategy, driving the evolution of development & test environment including the module test rigs.
· Support the Connectivity Center product manager defining module strategies and software development plans.
· Collaborate closely with Product development organizations in Forest & Garden and Construction to align connectivity integration work

Location: This position can be based in Jonsered or Huskvarna. In Husqvarna we use an hybrid working model.

Who are you?
We see that you have several years of experience in a similar position leading electronics and embedded development of IoT, mobile communication and connected products. You probably have a higher university degree with relevant technical orientation.
To really enjoy the role, it is important that you are well structured and organized with the ability to lead multi-cultural teams. Your ability and willingness to work hands-on on both high and low level gets the job done is also important in this role. At the same time you also need to be able to strategic thinking and manage priorities short and long term.
You collaborates and build trust internally and externally and have good English communication and presentation skills – written and verbal.
