R&D Operations Manager

The role of R&D Operations Manager is global and based in ABB’s offices, preferably in Västerås, Sweden or Turgi, Switzerland which are close to our core Technology Centers. The global Team consists of 80 highly motivated R&D engineers developing our R&D deliveries. About 10 of these are professional R&D Project Managers mainly located in Sweden, Switzerland and India.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for defining the R&D budget together with R&D Technology Manager
Overall responsibility for the R&D budget distribution between projects aligned with Product Management and R&D Technology Manager
Accountability for project execution and reporting, including but not limited to delivery on time, on budget, and on quality
Close collaboration with Product Management regarding the direction and content, as well as with Engineering, Project, Operations and Service teams regarding the deliverables

Your background
You are a team player with drive and interpersonal competence, having strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to manage expectations and complex interdependencies.
You are fluent in English, written and spoken alike.
You have a Master’s Degree in Electrical/Power/Physics/Power Electronics/Computer Science or equal.
You have previous experience of commercial project management and/or R&D project management.
Project management certification and experience of Lean Product Development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is preferable.
Availability for travels is essential for all global roles.
