R&D Project Manager

To strengthen the R&D department we are looking for a R&D Project Manager
General description:

You will manage product development projects of food processing equipment to meet commercial, technical and operational objectives. To your help you will have a cross functional project team. The team members are mostly located in Helsingborg, but can also be at other JBT sites in the world. You report functionally to the R&D Department Manager, and to the steering committee for the respective projects.
Your main responsibilities will be:


•Define project scope and specification in detail in cooperation with the steering committee.
•Develop and manage the time and resource plan for the project from the pre-study phase to a fully verified product at the customer.
•Lead the cross-functional project team. There are normally 1-4 full time development engineers, and part time members from other departments like Operations, Quality, Portfolio & Application. Typical project duration is 1-2 years.
•Manage the project budget
•Meet project objectives (technical, cost, quality, operational etc.)
•Report status, progress and plans
•Assist in the product launch
•Contribute technically in the development work, testing, and follow-ups internally and at customers world wide
•Identify and evaluate new development opportunities
•Contribute in the continuously improvement work of the processes and working procedures (Relentless Continuous Improvements)
Qualifications:


•Master degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Food Science)
•At least five years of relevant work experience
•Excellent English communication skills both verbally and in writing.
•Excellent interpersonal skills (easy to work with, work well with different people)
•Result oriented, get things done, deliver results
•Good technical general understanding
•Good overall understanding of the needs from different functions (see the big picture)
•Customer focus
•Preferably also experience from the food or food machinery industry and from Lean Product Development

The position will be based in Helsingborg, Sweden and requires some international travel to customers, suppliers and other JBT sites.
