You will join our R&D team in Malmö, where we are developing new medical beds, bathing solutions and safe patient handling equipment. In this important role as R&D Project Manager, you will work close to the development team, taking responsibility from start to end, ensuring that the product is developed towards the expected outcome.

Main tasks as Project Manager
You will secure the execution of product development projects, meeting time, quality and cost objectives. You will often work with a team at an early stage to define product and functionality that will meet market and customer requirements. Developing different prototypes builds with new technical innovation, and finally concretize and execute on your plan.
You will typically be managing 1-2 projects at the time, depending on size. Typical projects have between 10-40 participants, consisting of specialists within marketing, clinical, mechanical, industrial design, electronics, software and process engineering, design assurance, regulatory, supply chain, procurement and launch management.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for the execution of product development projects, ensuring that the products developed meet the required quality, performance, deadlines and established costs
Ensure cross functional collaboration between R&D and all other functional areas involved in the development of new products
Lead the team to continuously improve the processes and develop a continuous improvement culture

Location: Malmö
Reporting to: Director of Hygiene and Medical Beds

Qualifications
Technical educational background e.g. within electronics or mechanical engineering
Worked as a project manager for at least 3 years and launched several physical products with technical complexity and a clear end-user
Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Meritorious experiences
Medical devices development, with understanding of regulations, standards, and other regulations that apply to medical device development and design controls
Documented project management education such as PMI certification

The ideal candidate
To succeed in the position, you have a technical competence and ability to drive problem solving and planning of projects containing mechanical, electronic and software development. We believe that you need to have a structured way of working and act proactively, having eye of sight on the end goal. It’s essential to understand and combine technology to clinical and business needs and to be a strong communicator with the ability to explain complex technical info to non-technical stakeholders.
