Packaging Solutions division develops and sells world class fiber-based packaging products and services. We constantly innovate and find new ways to replace fossil-based packaging with renewable, eco-friendly alternatives. Our high-end packaging solutions are used by leading customers and brands across multiple industries.
Consumers are looking for products that enable them to lead more eco-friendly lives. They want to minimise waste, their carbon footprint and reduce their use of plastic. Strong brands can meet these demands and prove to consumers their ambitions and progress towards a circular economy.
Formed fiber products are designed for their intended use and can either be recycled or composted after use. A new selection of formed fiber products and technologies for designing and producing attractive eco-friendly products strengthens Stora Enso’s opportunities to replace fossil-based products and contribute to combating the global problem of plastic waste.
We are now looking for a R&D Project Manager, to join our Formed Fiber team. The location for this position is Stockholm.
Tasks
The purpose of this position is to drive R&D projects for new FF materials and technologies.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Lead R&D projects with target to move from idea stage to pilot stage (both internal and external projects)
Plan, perform and analyse trials from laboratory scale to pilot scale
· Drive joint collaborations projects together with external stakeholders such as customers and suppliers
· Participate in developing the FF new material and process technologies
Map, Scout and Develop Intellectual property
Be the technical contact for external technology providers.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you have a MSc in engineering, chemistry, material science, paper & pulp or similar education, combined with 1-3 years of relevant work experience. You are proficient in both English and Swedish.
You are a highly driven and self-motivated individual with the ability to take on work tasks beyond your daily duties. You also have the ability to assess technical feasibility of new technologies and their potential to bring value for business. Your creative yet structured mindset allows you to quickly build views on interaction of technologies and its impact on IP landscape.
