We are looking for a R&D project manager to join our HVDC team at Hitachi Energy in Sweden. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with talent team of engineers and lead R&D projects focusing on development of innovative solutions for HVDC application.
Your Responsibilities
Set-up and execute R&D projects together with your project team in alignment with our R&D portfolio management.
Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and resource plans, perform risk analysis and monitor the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets.
Proactively work with the team to identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with the implementation of new solutions. Develop risk management plans and strategies to respond to risks as they rise.
Drive requirements analysis, pre-studies, solution development and documentation of results in the projects
As an R&D Project Manager you will be a part of R&D Project Management Office. As a team we are all responsible to work on our processes, quality, learn from/help each other and to develop individually and as a team.
Your Background
University degree (M.S.) in Mechanical engineering, Naval engineering, or similar and strong technical background within offshore renewables, oil & gas, or marine industries.
5+ years of experience in technical project management within the offshore industries.
Sufficient knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to offshore applications.
Familiar with industry standards and regulatory requirements for offshore projects.
A proven track record of managing complex offshore projects from inception to completion is a plus.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies, with the ability to adapt approaches based on project requirements and constraints.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively implement solutions.
Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in a multi-site global environment.
Fluency in English required
