We are looking for an R&D Scientist to work in our expert Imaging and Western Blotting Consumables (I&WBC) team. We are expanding our capabilities and looking to engage the appropriate expertise to lead in the technical contributions to the impurity testing product area. This role presents an opportunity to join our dedicated, motivated and innovative team in Uppsala, SE.

What you’ll do


ELISA development, characterisation and validation for protein based targets, utilising new antibody reagents to develop kits for impurity testing.
Create and design gel electrophoresis and Western Blotting workflow instrument/equipment/consumable tests and characterisation procedures, particularly for 2D electrophoresis / western blotting applications and labelled antibody detection approaches, for use primarily in impurity testing
Provide resource support for the rest of the organization. Support customer discussions and work collaboratively with other functions such as manufacturing, quality or sourcing to make improvements and overcome challenges.
Participate in all aspects of our NPI projects and play a leading role in product development and technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing. Design and develop protocols and strategies with suitable and customer relevant knowledge to compliment our portfolio. Work with cross functional teams to develop process validation protocols and project plans, and ensure adherence to schedules and project deadlines. Drive OEM NPI efficiency and reliability.
Provide technical and scientific support to Sales and Marketing functions. Develop application related marketing material (e.g. Application notes, presentations, and posters)

Who you are


Experience in protein analysis and characterization, either in a leading role or as a proven key contributor.
Experience with ELISA development and validation
Considerable knowledge and experience of biochemical applications within protein analysis, particularly gel electrophoresis and western blotting applications
BSc or equivalent qualification in the Life Sciences area and experience (5 years) as a development scientist within R&D team, plus relevant experience in a multidisciplinary global environment
Very good communication skills (both written and spoken), including presentation skills
Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
