We’re now looking for an R&D Scientist within Materials and Process Development and a focus on data analysis to work with us – someone with the ambition to dive further into this complex and interesting area and to learn and develop into an expert. This is a great opportunity to join a great team, shape your own role as well as a possibility to drive important changes with big positive impact for our customers.
Your job
You work with state-of-the-art technology, developing and validating new digital tools for process surveillance and control. You get to influence the direction of the development and have the freedom to focus on the matters you find most important while developing your own expertise, which of course also comes with a big responsibility.
As a part of the Surfaces and Coatings Development department, you work together with a team of supportive and highly competent colleagues, leading projects for new platform development and supporting the organization with your expertise. Your job also involves development of methods for material analysis, simulation and data handling, and coordinating research collaborations with universities and external partners.
…and what about you?
We’re looking for someone with a masters’ degree in Materials Science, Physics or Chemistry. Either you have been working for a few years, or you might come directly from a higher education like the ones mentioned above. A big personal interest in materials and tech in general has given you deep knowledge in the field, and you have a data-driven R&D approach including data analysis and statistics, simulation and programming. As we work in a global organization based in Sweden, good knowledge in English as well as basic Swedish is necessary.
With a curious and at the same time pragmatic mind, you enjoy staying updated within your area of expertise and building your unique know-how – while still not complicating things more than necessary and solving problems in established and effective ways. You’re not afraid to take initiatives, and you identify possible development areas and drive new projects while always taking full ownership of your work. You’re joining a supportive team, so it is important that you are a true team player and have the ability to listen to the needs of the group – giving and taking help when needed and gladly sharing your knowledge with your colleagues.
