We hear every day about climate change, renewable energy, and the challenges of creating a stable and reliable power system across the world. In this role, you are making a difference by using your knowledge about power systems in general, and energy storage systems in particular. Our aim is to improve power quality in the grids, and in this position, you contribute to frequency stability as well as voltage stability.
Your responsibilities
Utilize your knowledge and skills in Power Systems to identify and implement innovative solutions
Act with integrity and transparency in a complex environment and seek collaborations within, and possibly outside, the company
Identify and manage risks in research and development projects, and in the wider organization
Possibly take the role as EPIC Owner or Product Owner in one (or more) Agile Teams and coach colleagues in relevant technologies, processes and/or tools
Maintain recognized expertise in Power Systems with Energy Storage by continually reviewing developments in current technologies
Proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction.
Contribute to the development of strategic technology plans and roadmaps
Your background
Master’s degree (Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Power Systems or similar) or PhD
You have preferably experience from working with high power applications with supercapacitor or battery systems
Merit also if you have experience with power electronic converters design and testing
Another value for us is experience with control of BESS or FACTS devices
Experience in the complexity of research and development project management will help you to success
Knowledge of PSCAD and RTDS are preferred as we use it in our daily work
As you will be a part of a global team, located in Sweden but also working with colleagues in Europe and Asia, we will need you to be fluent in English and have an ease at communicating in different ways
