As an R&D Senior Engineer, you will contribute significantly to technology and product development projects by identifying and implementing innovative solutions.
Reporting to the Scrum Master, you will use your technical knowledge to oversee development tasks and to contribute to strategic technology plans and the project portfolio.
This position is for a Senior Engineer, but the right eagerness and will to learn may compensate some lack of experience.
Your responsibilities
Performing software-focused development activities on system/product projects, including design, coding, integration, unit testing, system integration and continuous integration of software modules in line with the quality management system.
Contributing to core product decisions, proactively identifying and initiating relevant decision making.
Keeping up to date with technologies, tools and methods, and implementing initiatives to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
Participating in discussions on the design proposals and design documents and contributing for software solutions integration into the systems solution to meet the functional design specifications.
Ensuring deliverables meet required project quality and acceptable standards.
Providing consulting services to business operations and customers, and representing the group/team in engineering.

Your background
Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar studies
Few years of experience in embedded software application/product design and development with understanding of software development life cycle process and tools
Experience in embedded Linux and/or VxWorks real-time OS
Fluent in modern C++
Experience in Linux, Docker, OPC/UA, Cmake is meritorious, as well as a sound knowledge of compilers and code analysis tools such as LLVM, Clang, Klocwork, SonarCube
A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both written and spoken
