You will be part of Network Control business unit. The unit provides leading network management and control systems for planned and unplanned outage management, generation, transmission and distribution management systems, SCADA and process control solutions for planning, forecasting and running day-to-day operations. Offerings comprise a broad range of solutions to address the most critical needs of utility and power companies.
Your responsibilities
You will have the important task of managing a team of engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions to customers using our Network Manager SCADA/EMS/DMS platform.
Responsible for the planning and monitoring of the teams' work and progress, in relation to the teams' individual schedule and estimated effort
Synchronize the teams' individual plan with the overall release plan when needed (when changes occur to a committed plan)
Report progress continuously to the Release Management Team according to agreed practices
Relay overall release information to team members
Notify the Release Management Team including the Program Manager when there is a risk of not being able to deliver according to the plan
Enables close cooperation across all roles and functions
Shields the team from external interference
Helps team understand and deliver according to committed schedule

Your background
You hold a university degree in Engineering or Computer Science along with at least five years’ work experience related to power systems
Experience from leading teams working on software development.
Good knowledge of Jira and Azure DevOps
Since you will be part of a global organization, fluency in English is a must, whereas additional languages are considered a plus
As a person, you consider yourself to be a good, solution focused leader with high inner drive
You are a good planner and have good ability to make priorities between tasks along with high social competence and a customer focused approach
Moreover, you are a natural communicator to whom proactive behavior and collaboration comes instinctively
A close cooperation and communication with the project managing teams and other engineering offices within Network Control is essential for the successful execution of projects. You should also be ready to meet customers and understand their demands. You will be based in Västerås but be prepared to travel to other lead engineer centers.
It is an important requirement to have excellent skills in both English, written and spoken alike, proficiency in Swedish will be advantage. In your role you should feel confidence in leading multi-national teams.
