R&D Technical Product Manager, location Timrå, Sweden
As a R&D Product Manager you are part of our Business Function R&D within Permobil. You will be part of our major product development projects as well as our product life cycle management.
Organizationally the role is with the Complete Chair Innovation and Integration department within R&D where we are responsible for the complete wheelchair systems - both manual and power wheelchairs. We own the technical product planning for current products as well as driving our innovation roadmap that feeds into our product pipeline.
As we’re a medical device company we also assume the responsibility of maintaining the technical documentation files for our products throughout their life cycle. This includes risk management, post market surveillance and clinical evaluation processes.
We’re now looking for a Technical Product Manager to fit either of the below areas. They are all different profiles, but with overlapping skillsets.
- Technical Product Manager - Innovation. Main objective is to set governance and process to build ability for R&D to continuously and systematically work with Innovation. This is a cross product line role where the result is a roadmap that includes the R&D driven innovation initiatives. You will work both systematically with setting way of working and driving governance for the innovation process as well as driving project of innovation initiatives.
- Technical Product Manager - Life Cycle Management Main objective is to set governance and process to continuously and systematically work with product life cycle management. The function of technical product management is a cross product line function, and this position will be focusing on the power wheelchair products.
You will work both with setting way of working and governance for the LCM process as well as performing the work required by the regulatory requirements set up on our medical devices. This includes risk management, post market surveillance and clinical evaluation processes. A responsibility of our products technical documentation files lies within this role. This requires a skillset gained from working with products subjected to regulatory requirements and an understanding of how those are maintained and supported by the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Technical Product Manager - Complete Systems Main objective is to set governance and process to continuously and systematically work with product requirement management and feature management. The function of technical product management is a cross product line function, and this position will be focusing on the power wheelchair products.
You will work both with setting way of working and governance for the requirement process, feature management process as well as performing the work required in these processes. This will include working with risk management, post market surveillance and clinical evaluation to understand how these effects and is affected by the requirement and feature management processes. A responsibility of our technical product planning lies within this role. This requires a skillset gained from working with products systems on device level and how to plan for technologies used in these systems both in current product portfolio and in future products regarding how to adopt existing or new technologies into our devices.
Background
To fit in chosen role above we believe that you have experience from either R&D organizations, product management roles leaning to the technical aspects over the commercial or have been operating within regulated quality systems as per the requirements of the medical device industry. Relevant background from requirement definition and management on device/system level is of interest. Experience from the medical device industry is beneficial.
Required educational background a Master of Science degree within a relevant field of engineering or equivalent.
