You will be part of Grid Automation Products. We are responsible for development, marketing and sales as well as manufacturing of protection and control products for power generation, transmission and sub-transmission network applications. We offer a complete portfolio of world class products for Digital substation solutions. The unit also offers services, for example education that enables the customers to obtain maximal benefit from their investment in ABB’s protection and control solutions. 
As one of our R&D Test & Automation Engineers for the development, you will be integrated in a team that locally consists of about 10 people of skilled and experienced R&D Test engineers. Within the global Grid Automation Products technology development, the group is responsible for product, system and type testing during development and maintenance of our embedded system products’ consisting of software, electronics, mechanics and software configuration tools. 
Your responsibilities
Developing and maintaining our automated test systems, running on PC based platforms, consisting of tools for engineering of test cases, execution of tests and controlling external equipment, automated test result assessments, reporting and storage of results.
Testing case development, execution and reporting of tests.

Your background
A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
Deeper knowledge of signal processing, C# / LabVIEW programming
Knowledge of Power Grids Protection and Control is a plus
You are analytical, with a strong focus on details and quality, and at the same able to grasp the bigger picture
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills
Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
You are fluent in English, oral and written alike
