R&D Verification and Validation - Senior Engineer

We are now looking for an R&D Verification and Validation - Senior Engineer in Ludvika.
Description:
R&D Verification and validation (V&V) consists of being part of verification and validation planning, execution, documentation of results and communication of results back to our design teams. Verification and validation is conducted within the following technology areas, Electronics Hardware, Software, Field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) and Mechanics. Work processes and associated tools are provided, and the expectation is that processes are followed and provided tools are used unless other agreements are made.
Independently perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices, towards set goals. Plan, conduct or coordinate a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Conduct or coordinate complex analyses, advanced technical studies and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations as well as potentially legal and other agency requirements
Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• Minimum six (6) years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor or master’s degree, or
• Another technical degree with more than 15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Working command of the English language
Your responsibilities
- Ownership of varistor technology including material, processing and characterization
- Lead and contribute to R&D projects with planning, execution, analyses and documentation of experiments - both in lab and production scale
- Participation in the transfer of new recipes and new manufacturing processes to the factories
- Write tutorial, guidelines, test procedures and reports
Your background
- University degree in material science, chemistry or physics
- Know-how in laboratory work and production processes of ceramics preferred
- Experience in varistor and metal oxide technology for the electrical industry of advantage
- Team spirit with the capacity to work independently complemented by well-developed analytical skills
- Openness for new challenges and interest to learn and develop
- Fluent command of English, both written and spoken. Swedish is good to have
