Real Estate Asset Manager

We are now looking for a Real Estate Asset Manager who will be a part of taking Sandvik Mining to the next level in Real Estate Asset Management, in a new and international role. The location for the position is Amsterdam/Stockholm.

Key performance areas
As Real Estate Asset Manager your main task is to identify potential cost-savings via consolidation, procurement synergies and energy savings, and manage contracts through the use of standardization and negotiation.

Your main responsibilities include:
- Building up and maintaining a real estate database
- Ensuring the quality of information in the database that is required to identify the total potential for cost-savings
- Reviewing and benchmarking the facilities (workshop, office and warehouse) and identifying potential savings
- Identifying and immediate synergies between PAs and BAs
- Identifying overall infrastructural needs of PAs and making a Real Estate Master Plan for the medium and long term
- Identifying the need for investment, extensions of agreements and divestment
- Planning long-term cost-savings through contract management (standard agreements, a reduced number of realtors and central negotiation), energy management and central procurement of maintenance services

You will be reporting to our Global Facility Development Manager within the Sandvik Mining Project Office.
As part of the Project Office you will also assist with the development and maintenance of Facility
Development standards and project model.

This position involves extensive traveling.

Your profile
You hold a relevant academic degree in Civil Engineering/Real Estate management or equivalent knowledge acquired in another manner and has at least ten years? international experience in the field of Real Estate Asset Management. You also have good computer skills, including use of the MS Office suite, and the ability to summarize and present information to Senior Management. You are also experienced in developing budgets, Asset strategies and working with a Real Estate database. This role will also require certain experience in Asset agreements and negotiations. Certificate in Project Management (PMI/IPMA/Prince2or similar) is an advantage. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for this position.

You actively work toward improvements, with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects. You need to be able to multi-task and work under pressure to meet both budget and scheduled targets. Additionally, you are an excellent team player, who successfully builds partnerships and easily instills enthusiasm across geographic and organizational boundaries. To be successful in this role you also need to have good communication skills, in order to work well with diverse teams.
