To succeed as the Real Estate Manager, you would benefit from:
• IKEA/Ingka business experience with exposure to the real estate business.
• Background in business management and real estate from IKEA/Ingka.
• Extensive experience from managerial positions
• Academic degree in engineering/business/economics or similar
• Proven skills in developing people and provide support, coaching, training, and career direction to others
And, of course, you share and live the IKEA culture and values and have a genuine interest in home furnishing.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
To lead and develop all aspects of the real estate business according to the real estate scope in Ingka.
Amongst many of your tasks you will:
• Lead and manage the Real Estate organisation to ensure delivery of the real estate scope in Ingka.
• Ensure appropriate resources are available to manage the real estate business.
• Optimize the value and efficiency of Ingka properties in a sustainable way.
• Secure delivery of safe, compliant, sustainable, and innovative property solutions based on business needs.
• Manage and develop the organisation’s competence and performance to achieve the Ingka real estate scope and secure succession planning.
• Create an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.
• Ensure a safe environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors in accordance with Ingka policies.
• Be responsible for all strategies, standards, guidelines, methods, tools, sustainability best practice and innovation frameworks and other initiatives issued by Group Real Estate and for ensuring that these documents are communicated to relevant stakeholders and business partners.
• Facilitate follow-ups and identification of learnings, thereby improving in-house knowledge, and the performance on strategic long-term initiatives.
• Be the main speaking partner with other decision-makers in Ingka.
• Be the Chair of Real Estate Council in Ingka.
The position as Real Estate Manager is placed in Malmö, Sweden and you will report to the Deputy CEO /CFO of Ingka Group.
